How to change the default file type in Windows 8 Paint?

Explanation

Using the "Save as" option, the images can be saved in different file formats such as PNG, JPEG, BMP, GIF and Other formats.
Step 1: Select File → Save As → (Choose the Image Format).
Here, we have chosen JPEG file type.

Step 2: In "Save As" dialogue box, select the folder where you wish to save the image, enter the file name and click the Save button.
