Calculation of Relative Prime Numbers

Here is a short tutorial that let us discuss on what is co-prime numbers and how to calculate co-prime numbers with simple example and images.
How To Calculate Coprime Numbers
What is Co-Prime Number?
Numbers, which do not have any common factor between them other than one are called co-prime numbers. In simple, two numbers are said to be co prime when the only positive integer which divides both of them is 1. Two numbers are said to be coprime if their HCF is 1. Examples (2,3),(3,4),(5,6),(5,7),(5,9),(9,11) etc. The co-prime numbers are also called "relatively prime" or "mutually prime"numbers. The Calculation of Relative Prime Numbers is explained below with step by step examples.
How To Calculate Co-Prime Numbers?
Simple Rule:
No common factors other than 1
Coprime Numbers
Co-prime Example 1:
Check whether the numbers 12 and 14 are co-prime numbers?
Step 1: Find Factors of 12 and 7
Factors of 12 = 1,2,3,4,12
Factors of 7 = 1, 7
Since, 12 and 7 have 1 as a common factor. So 12 and 7 are co-prime numbers.

Co-prime Example 2: Check whether the numbers 21 and 24 are co-prime numbers?
Step 1: Find Factors of 21 and 24
Factors of 21 = 1,3,7,21
Factors of 24 = 1,2,3,4,6,8,12,24
Since, 21 and 24 have 1 and 3 as a common factor 21 and 24 are NOT co-prime numbers.
