Subtract function is used to minus the set of values. To subtract the set of values follow the steps below.
Step 1: Type "=" symbol in the cell where you need to display the answers.
Step 2: Enter the cell references and separate them using the minus (-) symbol. Then press Enter to get the answer. For example, to subtract the values in the cell reference, A1 and A5, enter as =A1 - A5 and hit enter.

Answer is obtained in the selected cell where you performed the subtraction.
