How to calculate average of numbers in MS Excel 2013?

Explanation

To calculate the average for the set of numbers in excel file follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Type "=Average" in the cell where you want to display the result.
Step 2: Open parenthesis and select the range of values by clicking the first cell and dragging it till the extend you need.

For example, to find average for the range of numbers from A1 to A8, enter as =Average(A1:A8) and hit enter.
Average value is obtained in the selected cell where the sum function is performed.
