How to log off / log out from Ubuntu desktop?

Explanation

To log out / log off from the current user account follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Click the mouse pointer on the user name present in the top right corner of the window and select Power Off.

Step 2: You will get an alert message. Click Log Out option.

System will logout from the current user account and list all the user accounts.
