How to Accurately Measure Your Height by Yourself at Home?
Human height is a measure of the distance from the bottom of the feet to the top of the head. The height of a person is usually measured in terms of centimeters. Human height is also referred to as Stature. Height is an important factor to determine the growth factor. It is an indicator of the human health and wellness.
This is a short tutorial that explains you on how to measure your height by yourself most accurately at home.
→ Measuring Tape
→ Ruler or Pencil
→ Notebook or any other similar material.
Step 1: Remove your foot wears and anything on your head such as head bands, that would inflate your height.
Step 2: Stand with your back against the wall with your feet together. The back of your feet, butt, shoulders, and the back of the head should be touching the wall.
Step 3: Look straight ahead to ensure that your body is as straight as possible.
Step 4: Have a notebook or anyother similar material in one hand and a pencil in the other other hand.
Step 5: Once in good position, put the notebook to the top of your head by yourself. (You may also ask your friend or family member to do this for you.) Make sure the notebook is horizontal to the floor and perpendicular to the wall (that is 90 degrees).
Step 6: Hold the notebook in its position and slide out from under it.
Step 7: Mark the position where the notebook is placed on the wall with the pencil.
Note: If you are with another person like your friend or family member, you could get help from them to achieve steps 5,6, and 7.
Step 8: Use the measuring tape from the ground up to figure out your height.
