Host File: It is used by the operating systems to map hostnames or domain names to IP addresses. By making a host file entry you can change the IP address of the domain name. But, this change reflects only on your computer and not in the worldwide.
Step 1: Open the host file '/etc/hosts' using the text editor.
Step 2: Make your host entry and save the file.
Example: 127.0.0.1 localhost
