How to Make Aloe Vera Gel At Home?
Step 1: Aloe Vera has a long leaf with serrated edges and fleshy layer between the skin of the leaf. First thing to do is wash your hands completely. Cut down the fresh leaf near the base of the plant. Make sure that you are collecting preferably a long Aloe Vera stem from the plant.
Step 2: Place the leaf upside down, so that the yellow resin strain out of it. Because it has Latex which is irritable for our skin.
Step 3: Peel off the green portion of the leaf using a knife or vegetable cutter. Slice off all the green shade of the leaf leaving the fresh gel.
Step 4: Now carefully scoop off the gel leaving the other end of the green portion of the leaf.
Step 5: Cut down the fresh gel into smaller portions and add it inside the blender.
Step 6: If you wish to preserve the gel for quite long then its important to add natural preservatives before blending it. You can add 500mg powdered Vitamin C or 400 IU vitamin E for every 1/4 cup of fresh gel.
Step 7: You can also add a tbsp of rose water to enhance the smell of the gel.
Step 8: Now blend the whole mixture for few seconds not more than that, because it can turn watery.
Home made Aloe Vera gel is ready.. You can preserve it for a month in a airtight container and store in refrigerator.

You can use this freshly prepared home made Aloe Vera gel as a scrub, moisturizer, face pack, lotion to treat sunburns or any other minor surface burns.
