TDR - Ticket Deposit Receipt. It is an option by Indian Railways given to the passengers to get a refund amount who didnt travel on their particular journey. Those who had booked their tickets on their own, could easily login to the railway website and fill the TDR form and submit in request of refund. But, if you had booked your train tickets through an agent, then you may go only through the agents to get the refund. The online TDR filing for IRCTC tickets booked through agents is not available as of now. If want to book through agents, they are required to send a mail to the mentioned railways e-mail id along with the required details as mentioned below on behalf of the passenger to get the refund.

Whenever agents received such a request from their customers they are required to send a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org containing following details.
→ Ticket Details
→ PNR Number
→ Transaction Id
→ Train Number
→ Date of Journey
→ Passenger Details
→ Sl No.
→ Passenger Name
→ Reason for TDR
E-ticket cannot be cancelled after chart preparation.
IRCTC will file TDR and forward the claim to Concerned Railways to process the refund and money of refund amount will be credited back to agent account through which payment was made after receiving the same from the concerned Railways.
