In Physics, Power is defined as the energy consumed per unit time. It is the ratio of work by time. As work is a force applied over a distance it can also be calculated from the force and displacement over time. The SI unit of power is watts or joules per second.
How To Calculate Power Based On Force Displacement Time
Formula:
Power (P) = Force (F) x Displacement (D) / Time Taken (T)

Let us consider an example, to calculate power based on force, displacement and time taken for the process to complete.
Step 1: Given,
Force = 50 Kg
Displacement = 1.2 meters
Time Taken = 1.5 secs
Power Example Based On Force Displacement Time
Step 2: Applying the values in the formula,
Power (P) = Force (F) x Displacement (D) / Time Take (T)
Power (P) = 50 x 1.2 / 1.5
Power (P) = 60 / 1.5
Power (P) = 40 Watts
