Formula :

Steps for Power Factor Calculation
Step 1: Consider if the real power is 123. 56 Watts and the apparent power applied is 116. 578 VA.
Real Power = 123. 56 Watts
Apparent Power = 116. 578 VA

Step 2: Substituting the values in the formula,
Power Factor = 123. 56 Watts / 116. 578 VA
= 1.0599
Hence, the power factor of an AC circuit is 1.0599.
