Let us consider an example to calculate the batting average of a batsman whose total number of runs scored is 600 and number of times he been out is 25.
Step 1: Given,
Total Number of Runs Scored = 600
Number of Times Out = 25
Step 2: Applying the values in the formula,
Batting Average = Total Number of Runs Scored / Numer Of Times Out
BA = 600 / 25
