IFSC Code or Indian Financial System Code is a eleven-character code assigned for every bank branches by the Reserved Bank of India. It is the unique bank branch identifier code. The code is needed while using different electronic payment system application services such as RTGS, NEFT and CFMS. The 11 character code are assigned as follows: First four characters represents the bank, followed by a Zero (left for future use) and the last six characters refers to the branch code.
