How to change the permissions of file in cPanel?

Explanation

Follow the steps given below to change the file permissions.
Step 1: Login to Control panel and click File Manager.

Step 2: Go to public_html

Step 3: Select the file/folder for which the file permission has to be changed.

Step 4: Select Change Permission in the top menu.

Step 5: In the resulting popup, select the required boxes and click Change permissions button.

This will change the permission for the selected file. You can verify the permission under the perms column.
