What is an A Record?
A Records are the most basic type of DNS record and are used to point a domain or subdomain to an IP address
(IPv4).

In this short tutorial, we will discuss on how to change A record for a domain name using Cpanel.

Step 1:
Login to your Cpanel Account.
Login To Cpanel
Step 2: Search for DNS and click on the DNS advanced zone editor.

Step 3: Select the domain name for which you wish to change the A record.

Step 4: Go to the domain name from the list of zone file records and click on Edit.

Step 5: Enter the IP address (IPv4) for which you like to point your domain or subdomain name and click on Edit Record. You have now successfully changed your A Record.

Step 6: To add new A record. Select the type of record to Change, here it is A, enter your domain name, TTL (Time in seconds) and IP address in the required fields below the Add a Record and tap Add button.
